With the end of November fast approaching, many anglers (like myself) are scrambling to find the last couple weather windows to get out on finish the season on a high note of good Togging. Water temperatures have been dropping rapidly, starting at 55 degrees on Monday, to 52 degrees on Saturday. With the colder water temperatures, blackfish have started making their way offshore and out of our local waters. That being said, there are still plenty of Blackfish being caught. We have been finding success targeting rock piles in the 15-25 foot range of depth, using jigs if the current is tolerant, and rigs if the tide is really ripping. The biggest fish of the week weighed in at 10.75lbs, 26.5″ a true “tank” blackfish and a fish of a lifetime. Hoping to get good weather next week to end the season on a positive note!
