Fishing Report 6/22-6/28

Great weather and rising water temperatures… you know what that means. PRIME TIME! as we begin to approach the beginning of July, striped bass season is in full swing. Bigger fish are starting to pop out and the fishing outside of the river is slowly starting to churn up. On top of the fantastic striped bass bite, we have been running into some massive gator bluefish. Some really aggressive fish that put on a show with acrobatics and a great fight. Live bunker has still been the ticket item for us, however the topwater bite still remains strong. With some inclement weather this week, we will see how the deck of cards shuffles and moves some fish around. The bottom fishing bite has also been hot as massive weakfish have been mixed in with some real black sea bass. Now is the time to get out on the water and enjoy what summer and the sea have to offer. Get out there!
