Happy 4th of July! as we continue rolling through the summer and more importantly bass fishing, keep an eye on those rising water temperatures. The water continues to get warmer and warmer, and the fishing in the river is starting to slow down just a hair. Bigger bass are being caught outside of the break-walls for the past week or two, so the “Pale Rider” has finally started stretchin her legs. Speaking of stretching legs, the fishing in Block Island has begun. Planning on taking the first trip of the summer over this week to do some night time bass fishing with eels. The local bottom fishing continues to remain on fire. We have been catching our limits on sea-bass and weakfish, with some bigger weakfish mixing into the bag as the water gets warmer. 90 feet of water and a strong current have been the two biggest ticket items, as well as a special bait that nobody cruising the ocean floor in Long Island Sound can resist… Tuna skins….
Awesome update!! Looking forward to seeing you next Thursday 🎣
