Fishing Report 7/11-7/18

Fog, fog, fog! The last week of fishing has been interesting as it has been quite foggy. With constant fog and plenty of rain, mixed with an absence of sun has created some lower water temperatures in the CT river which has pushed plenty of bait and plenty of stripers back into the river. There is nothing better then watching bass blow up on topwater plugs. The bass fishing outside of the river has also been going well. Plenty of fish outside and they are getting bigger. Those Western CT fish are starting to make their way East in one of the final pushes of the summer. Free swimming bunker has been our ticket item, we have yet to move to the 3-way bite. We also had a couple black seabass and bottom fishing charters this week. The seabass bite continues to stay on fire with plenty of fish mixed in some small and some XXL.
