Fishing Report 6/5-6/11

What another fantastic week of fishing here in the Long Island Sound!! The bass fishing this year is the best it has been in years. In and out of the CT river, the Sound is absolutely stockpiled with Striped Bass all the way from Norwalk to Old Saybrook and beyond. We are catching fish of all sizes up and down the CT River from Essex all the way out to the mouth of the river. Live bunker has still been the ticket item for us, but in recent days we have seen some more aggressive and larger bass start blowing up topwater. Nichols flutter spoons have also been crushing bass in the river. We also ran into some bigger fish later on in the week. We found some stud bass on the 3-way rig and capitalized on some huge opportunities. Black seabassing and bottom fishing has been solid with big seabass and filled coolers in a couple hours. Squid strips and flashy jigs seem to be working the best now. Hopefully the fishing stays great for the next month to come! I still have availability for upcoming weeks don’t hesitate to reach out if you are interested in going fishing! #Twenty4SevenGuide
