I took my grandson and his best friend on this trip with Captain Sam. Awesome experience watching the boys and Sam interact and learn from him how to catch the big ones. Sam knows what he is doing and goes the extra mile to insure your complete satisfaction. The boys and I will never forget this trip thanks to Captain Sam. We would do this again in a heartbeat. Been out with Capt Sam multiples times a year for striper/ taug, best captain out here, every time I’ve been put on big fish. Rods he uses are a blast all his gear makes fishing a breeze, boat and captain can safely handle any weather out there. Very knowledgeable captain so doesn’t matter if  your an experienced fisherman looking to learn a new species or location,  or a beginner looking to learn the ropes, he's your man.

Capt. Sam was absolutely great. He worked hard catching us live bait and finding us some beautiful Stripers. I can't say enough about how important it was for him, to get us fish. We had such a great Father’s Day charter with Sam! After calling him to talk about some logistics, he was so nice and accommodating, I immediately booked with him for a surprise fishing excursion. He was punctual and just as friendly upon picking us up at the dock and that continued during our trip. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and we caught several massive stripers!!! Capt. Sam knows his stuff and I highly recommend him to anyone.  From a single old fisherman (like me) to a small group, or even new fishers, no matter, this is a great guide and boat that you will have a safe experience on, maybe learn a little, and can't avoid having a ton of fun.

Went out with Captain Sam yesterday, what a fun trip. We boarded, and after a quick safety session, we went and got some live bait.  Within 1 minute of turning off the motor, our first person had his line in the water and I jokingly said,"you better catch one before we get our lines baited and in the water". Guess what, he did.  We caught 2 quick keepers within the first 2 minutes. Moved to a different spot, and we tripled up, would have been a quadruple, but one broke off.  Overall, a fantastic day with Sam. Outstanding day with Captain Sam!  Haven’t had this kind of experience in years.  Sam is knowledgeable, personable and knows where to find fish! We were a group of 4 staying at the Madison Beach Hotel for a business meeting and Sam was recommended to us.  I caught and released 3 beauties in my first 30 minutes. My wife, son and I were in Mystic for the weekend for a college graduation. We wanted to fish for stripers and connected with Sam. We headed out for the early morning trip and had great results with Sam. He showed us how he catches the bunker for bait using his nets and then put us onto some beefy stripers. When we finished up our live bait - we headed for a short ride and got onto some large bluefish. They gave us all we wanted in terms of excitement and fight.
