Captain Sam Fekete

Fishing is my passion, and I want to share that passion with you. The experience of a great day at sea is something that lasts forever. I started Twenty4Seven Guide Service at 20 years old to share my passion with you. I love fishing and I love people, so getting into guiding was a natural choice for me. I enjoy fishing with everyone, young and old; everyone has a little salt in their blood!! I have been fishing for as long as I can remember, and never taking a single day for granted.

I am fortunate to have fished with, and have been mentored by, some truly great fisherman who taught me along the way. I am always eager to learn new ways and tactics to catch more and bigger fish and I am passionate about continuing to learn more about the fish I love. I hope after a day out on the water with me, that you too get an opportunity to experience some amazing fishing, and create memories that last a lifetime.

I base my operation out of Old Saybrook, CT and the Connecticut River. My boat is mobile, and my first order of business is finding the best bite for you. I prefer to spend less time running and more time fishing, and I will always try to find the most flexible balance between your convenience and the best fishing experience I can offer you. I am available for group or corporate charters of up to 3-4 anglers depending on the trip. I fish the waters of LI and RI sound between the months of April-November. Let me know your goals and expectations, I will take care of the rest!

I have been chasing Striped Bass my entire life, and have mastered the use of live bait to catch giant Striped Bass. The Striper is a fish I love, and I support the mission of catch and release to perpetuate the viability of the fishery. I work with a tagging program to enhance data that support fish stocks. I fish for Stripers wherever and whenever the fishing is good, with my main goal of finding my clients the best opportunity for success.
I also love the convenience and enjoyment of ground fishing for Black Sea Bass, Fluke, and Porgies.

After the Striper season slows, I focus my time on covering water in search of the best bite. Over the years I have learned the spots and tides, and the importance of being in the right place at the right time.

In the fall, I get to shift gears and spend time chasing two of my favorite species, Bonito and False Albacore. If you have never had the good fortune of chasing “Hard tails” this is something you do not want to miss. I focus on using the lightest spinning tackle to maximize your experience chasing these amazing fish. The bites and fights are epic and something you will not soon forget.

The Boat

The hard part about a small center console boat is finding the right combination of speed, style, comfort, and fishability. With our 2004 Hydra-sports Vector 2400, enjoy a combination of them all! Ride comfortably on the tried and true Hydra-sports vector hull, known for its weight and sharp deep-v, as well as its heavy kevlar hull, allowing for the vessel to perform well in chop and heavier seas.

Equipped with a 2014 300 horsepower Evinrude E-etec, clients can enjoy riding comfortably with speed. The vessel cruises at a steady 30knts and runs full speed at 44Knts. With comfortable combing all around the boat, you never have to worry about banging your knees and legs against the gunwale or leaning up against uncomfortable fiberglass.

The Hydra-sports Vector hull is also known for its large storage capacity, which allows for plenty of gear, tackle, and personal belongings to be stored onboard the vessel during your charter. Whether you have your own gear or bring your own lunch, we have space for it!

The boat is equipped with up to date electronics, including a Raymarine SL72 dome and radar, and a Lowrance XD elite Chartplotter/ fishfinder. The boat is also equipped with a VHF radio and a First Mate emergency beaconing system in case of an emergency.

A large rear Livewell allows for bait to stay fresh all day long to stretch the day of fishing as long as possible.
